I'm thinking that Office Apps are having a hard time syncing the changes made by the user because of the password that was set to the file. Tried downloading a copy of the Excel spreadsheet, removed the password & have it uploaded back to OneDrive. We've unsynced & resynced his OneDrive account & error still pops out. " resulting on him not able to edit the file. When he tries to open the password-protected Excel spreadsheet from the OneDrive (online) or OneDrive Desktop App, error pops out: "Error: Read-only: This workbook is locked for editing by another user. ![]() Conclusion Now you must have got the perfect answer to your query Excel file locked by another user how to unlock.
